Rancks from many parts of the country assembled in 1928 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the arrival of John Michael Ranck in America aboard the ship Mortonhouse on August 24, 1728. At that gathering, Rev. George S. Ranck was elected President of the family, a position he held for nearly 50 years until his death in 1975. The Family holds its annual reunion on the third Saturday of July at Ranck's United Methodist Church in New Holland, PA.
